Chocolate Chip Cookies#

Original recipe: The Golden Book of Chocolate

27 cookies (2 trays)

Ingredients#

  • 300g bitter chocolate, chopped/in chips

  • 200g unsalted butter, softened

  • 150g sugar

  • 50g cane sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 375g cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Preparation#

  1. Preheat the oven to 200C.

  2. Prepare 2 pans

  3. Mix flour, soda and salt

  4. Cream butter and sugars, then add eggs.

  5. Add flour, mixing on low settings.

  6. Mix in chocolate by hand

  7. Put 27 blobs of batter on the tray with a teaspoon, 8cm from each other

  8. Bake until browned, cookbook says 180C for 10-12 mins, I did 16mins in 180 and 12 in 200 degrees with convection

  9. Take out and cool
